Lianyungang Sub-Corporation of Import and Export  (Group) Corporation of China Coal Industry is a specialized industrial and trading company established with the approval of the
state and engaged in the management of the business of import and export of coal at the port of Lianyungang, which is the bridgehead of the Asian-European continental bridge, mainly managing the export of coal in centralized distributions by the state.

Meanwhile, the corporation acts on behalf of such provinces along the Lianyungang-Gansu Railway as Jiangsu, Shandong, Anhui, Henan, Shanxi,Gansu and Shanxi in the business of
the export of coal.

The corporation possesses modern communication, testing and management equipment, with nearly a value of 10 million yuan as fixed assets,and staff members with good  conscientiousness and adept in their profession.

The corporation has stable, fixed and broad channels in the production and supplies of coal in over 20 varieties  of quality coal, with its products sold as far as over a dozen such coun- tries and areas as South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asian countries.

Ever since the founding of the corporation in April 1983, its business has developed by leaps and bounds,  exporting 520,000 tons of coal, which earned 40 million U.S. dollars in 1983, and 4 million tons of coal, which earned 150 million U.S. dollars in 1997, totaling in the past 14 years 29,440,000 tons of coal, which earned 1.085 billion U.S. dollars.

Therefore, the corporation has been appraised as an advanced unit in the export of coal by the Ministry of Coal Industry, as an advanced unit in the export of coal and the management of  quality by the General Corporation, has been conferred the title of civilized unit by the Government of Jiangsu Province, selected as a unit in the third industry among the 200 powerful enterprised in Jiangsu Province,and has been conferred the title of an advanced unit in the joint construction of a civilized port in 9 consecutive years by the province, the municipality, and the port.
