The main products of the steel and alloy industry include rebar and other construction steel, nickel-chromium- manganese alloy, stainless steel, etc. Locally produced martensitic stainless steel accounts for nearly 40% of its domestic market share. Four local key steel enterprises are able to annually produce 12.6 million tons of the crude steel, accounting for about one-tenth of the Jiangsu's steel production capacity.
