Recently, our city's integrated smart public service platform for ports——"E-Port Link" was officially launched. As of the end of 2024, "E-Port Link" had over 2,500 registered users, covering more than 90% of the port trade information service sector.
Since being selected as one of the first batch of national smart port construction pilot projects in Jiangsu Province in December 2023, our city has been comprehensively accelerating the development of smart application scenarios for Lianyungang Port, building the Lianyungang "E-Port Link" integrated smart public service platform for ports, and constructing a one-stop online service network for Lianyungang Port covering seaports, airports, customs clearance, logistics, trade, and finance, achieving "one-port connectivity" through "E-Port Link".
"As one of the important measures to optimize the port business environment in our city, 'E-Port Link' bears the important mission of digital transformation, smart public services, and developing new forms of productivity for Lianyungang Port," said Wang, General Manager of Lianyungang Electronic Port Company. The platform has formed two "one-stop" service halls online and on mobile devices, and has established three centers: a port data exchange service center, a regional platform interconnection center, and a port public information service center. Currently, it has connected with more than 20 entities including electronic ports, terminal companies, shipping companies, and regulatory authorities, with over 100 service providers having joined the platform.
It is understood that "E-Port Link", as an integrated online service platform for ports, serves as the core foundation for port digital transformation, a smart public service community for ports, and an empowerment platform for new forms of port productivity. It is the new window, brand, business card, and image for Lianyungang Port's unified external services. Staff from the Municipal Port Office explained that "E-Port Link" is committed to building a service system that serves local, hinterland, and Silk Road customers. On the basis of connecting government departments, regulatory authorities, sea and air ports, comprehensive bonded zones, logistics parks, and free trade pilot zones, it serves local logistics enterprises at the port such as shipping and forwarding agents, warehousing and logistics companies, and customs declaration companies. It also extends its services outward to serve factories and enterprises related to foreign trade in the port's economic hinterland, along the Land Bridge, and along the "Belt and Road".
The vigorous development of the digital economy is leading the rise of new forms of productivity and driving the innovative transformation of smart ports. Lianyungang has been awarded the title of China Electronic Port Service Window, which is another innovative practical achievement of "E-Port Link" and an important step towards improving the convenience of services for foreign trade enterprises in Lianyungang and northern Jiangsu. Moving forward, Lianyungang Port will take the launch of "E-Port Link" as a new starting point to further accelerate the in-depth development of smart ports, strengthen the construction of the supporting capacity of the Lianyungang Electronic Port Public Information Platform, actively learn from advanced international and domestic experiences, continuously optimize service and management efficiency, and strive to make Lianyungang a more influential benchmark and model of smart development in the tide of building smart ports and smart customs.
