As the footsteps of the New Year draw near, the festive atmosphere is thickening across the port city. Since New Year’s Day in 2026, our city has taken “Mountains and Seas Usher in the New Year, Blessings Fill Lianyungang City” as its theme, integrating scenic spot resources, offering substantial benefits, and launching a cultural benefit direct train to present citizens and visitors with a Spring Festival cultural and tourism feast that combines traditional charm with a modern touch.
With the Year of the Horse approaching, this grand feast will extend its reach deep into cities, counties, towns, and villages, making efforts in various aspects such as immersive cultural tourism, folk custom experiences, public services, and nighttime consumption, enabling citizens and visitors to jointly celebrate an auspicious Year of the Horse.
Meanwhile, the “Mountains and Seas as Mirrors, You Are the Most Beautiful” 2026 Lianyungang Top Ten Heart-stirring Check-in Spots Solicitation Activity—the first quarter’s “Spring Festival Flavor in Lianyungang” themed solicitation is also in progress simultaneously. The Huaguoshan Scenic Area has launched the “Great Sage Welcomes the Spring” event. From now until March 1, the “Aolai Snow Realm New Year Adventure” will instantly transport visitors to a “Journey to the West Snow Kingdom”. From February 11 to 23, events such as the Great Sage’s Gate-opening Ceremony, a parade of Journey to the West NPC floats, and dragon and lion dances will be staged one after another. From February 17 to 23, 26 intangible cultural heritage stalls from the ticket inspection entrance to the mountain gate square will offer a one-stop collection of trendy cultural and creative products.
The Lian Island Scenic Area will present the “Cyber Mountain-Sea Banquet”. From February 17 to 22, traditional lion dancing and youth lion dancing performances will take place three times a day at locations such as the Dasha Bay Outer Square, the beach, and the Ocean Square. An online and offline stamp collection activity will also be launched simultaneously, with 50,000 lucky stamps waiting for citizens and visitors to claim. Fifteen specialty stalls at the “Horse-themed Joy Market” will cover shopping, dining, and entertainment.
The nighttime performances at the Yuwan Scenic Area will be spectacular. From February 17 to 22, starting at 6:30 p.m. each night, a 10-meter-high dynamic Chinese dragon will lead the “Mountain-Sea Tales ? Giant Dragon Show”, and the mecha project “Fantastic Classic of Mountains and Seas” will also make a joint appearance. From February 9 to 15, the scenic area will offer free admission, allowing citizens and visitors to enjoy the seaside at off-peak times, watch the sunrise, and stroll along the plank road, savoring a relaxing time by the sea.
Meanwhile, from February 15 to 23, the Huaguoshan, Lian Island, and Yuntai Mountain by the Sea scenic areas will simultaneously give away tickets. The Huaguoshan and Lian Island scenic areas will each distribute 5,000 free tickets per day, while Yuntai Mountain by the Sea Scenic Area will distribute 500 free tickets per day, covering the joy of the Spring Festival for citizens and visitors from the Journey to the West wonderland to the panoramic view of mountains and seas. From February 17 to 22, the Erlang God Cultural Relic Park in Guannan County will offer free admission, with intangible cultural heritage performances, a food market, and famous and high-quality agricultural products gathering to present citizens and visitors with an immersive folk custom feast. From early-bird off-peak travel to the peak Spring Festival days, the benefits will continue uninterrupted, fully meeting the travel needs of different visitors.

From February 7 to March 3, citizens of Huai’an can purchase the Lianyungang Version B tourism annual pass at a special price of 88 yuan, originally priced at 168 yuan, and enjoy unlimited visits to 16 tourist attractions within one year.
