Jiangsu Ocean University Participated in Joint Construction of Ministerial Key Laboratory

Recently, the Ministry of Natural Resources announced that in order to further strengthen the scientific and technological innovation ability of natural resources and better support and serve the main business of natural resources, experts were organized to conduct a comprehensive evaluation on the new application for the construction of the key laboratory of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the results were publicized. The announcement ended on July 1st. The key laboratory of coastal salt marsh wetland ecology and resources jointly built by Jiangsu Ocean University is among them.

The laboratory is under the charge of the Department of Natural Resources of Jiangsu Province. Relying on IGEMGS, the laboratory is jointly built by Jiangsu Sea Area Use Dynamic Monitoring Center, Nanjing University and Jiangsu Ocean University.

Taking the evolution and ecological function of coastal salt marsh wetland and the environmental dynamic process of coastal salt marsh wetland as the main research direction, the laboratory will gather and cultivate multidisciplinary innovative talents and teams for coastal salt marsh wetland research, focusing on the needs of marine ecological civilization construction and coastal salt marsh wetland resources, environment, ecology and disasters, so as to build a leading international advanced scientific and technological innovation platform and open and shared academic exchange base in the basic research field of coastal salt marsh wetland ecology and resource application serve the management of natural resources and the ecological protection and restoration of land and space.
