Huaguo Mountain Airport Interchange Project of Changsha-Shenzhen Expressway Will Be Completed Later This Month

It was learned from the Municipal Transportation Department on March 27 that the interchange project of Huaguo Mountain Airport on Changsha-Shenzhen highway has entered the final stage and is expected to be completed by the end of this month.

The project is located in the southwest of the intersection of Changsha-Shenzhen highway and planning Airport Avenue. An A-type single horn interchange is set at the intersection of the project and Huaguo Mountain Airport collection and distribution road. The main line of Changsha-Shenzhen highway in interchange area is widened by 1.16 km, and the ramp is about 1.93 km. There are four bridges, six circular pipe culverts, five box culverts and one "five entrance and five exit" toll station. The project started in March last year with a cost of about 159 million yuan. After the completion of the project, the collection and distribution system of the new airport will be further improved.

"As a supporting connection project of Huaguo Mountain Airport, it is convenient for citizens to travel after completion, and it can also drive the surrounding economy and enrich the transportation network." Zhang Zhongliang, chief engineer of Huaguo Mountain Airport interchange project, said that since September last year, the project department has accelerated the building progress. During the Chinese New Year, it also responded to the call of celebrating the New Year on the spot, and the project has not stopped for a day.

During the interview, we learned that because the interchange project of Huaguo Mountain Airport is involved in highway construction with frequent traffic protection and transformation, the constriction process has seen high safety risk, long duration and difficult construction. In order to ensure the progress of the project, the construction unit overcame difficulties such as tight construction period and bad weather, seized the favorable opportunity of construction and increased the investment of resources. During the construction peak period, nearly 300 construction personnel and 84 sets of machinery and equipment were cooperated at the same time.
