According to the statistics of Lianyungang Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in 2017, 390 thousand tons of food stuffs were imported from Lianyungang Port, a 40% increase over the same period last year. The value of the goods reached 2 billion yuan, up 97% year on year, showing a good trend of rising volume and value.

Along with the growing trend of imported food, food varieties imported from Lianyungang Port are also increasingly rich, and formed a large number of special products, including French wine, Malaysia palm oil, Australian frozen beef and mutton, American dried nuts, Vietnamese rice and so on.
