Lianyungang Port Completed 270 Million Tons of Throughput in the First 11 Months

It was learned from the Port Holding Group that in November, Lianyungang Port continued the momentum of "double increase" against the trend in October and completed a cargo throughput of 29.93 million tons at one stroke, with a year-on-year growth of 30.81%. The container traffic volume reached 560700 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 35.93%, achieving a large growth against the trend and launching the final "big sprint" towards the annual goal.

Lianyungang Port has worked hard to achieve the business objectives of 2022 based on the requirements of "fighting for the fourth quarter, sprinting for the whole year" and "optimizing the business environment" since November. In the face of the epidemic situation, the port staff has organized a dense prevention and control network, played a good surprise war, "reported for duty, implemented and taken responsibility" at the first time, firmly established the first pass of "curbing imported COVID-19 cases" and made every effort to let the port "work normally" and the goods "move up" to ensure the stable and smooth supply chain and logistics chain.

In terms of port infrastructure construction, 400000 tons of iron ore berths were approved for reconstruction and expansion, and Lianyungang International Automobile Green Intelligent Logistics Center project was started, injecting vitality into accelerating the construction of international hub seaports. As for production, the annual vehicle export continued to enjoy a "blowout" growth, breaking through 200000 units for the first time on November 26, with a year-on-year growth of 42.8%, creating the best vehicle export performance since the port was built. The two-wing port areas continue to maintain a good production momentum, and New Bay of Ganyu, Xinwei Port of Xuwei and Guanhe Port of Guanyun have all completed the breakdown indicators. Among them, Guanhe Port Area has successfully innovated the operation mode of combined transportation between Haihe River and the sea by using the excavator provided by the ship owner to carry out the sand and stone lightering operation, so as to effectively improve the operation efficiency. With regard to the market, all units of the port spare no effort to ensure market stability, continue to do a good job of market dynamic monitoring and analysis, increase efforts to compete for ships and goods of key types, reduce the impact of the epidemic on the port's cargo source market, and the monthly operation volume of pillar types of goods such as iron ore, laterite nickel ore and building materials has increased steadily.

We will effectively　plan the prevention and control of epidemic diseases at the　port and earnestly guard the line of defense for safe production. From January to November, Lianyungang Port completed a cargo throughput of 270 million tons, an increase of 8.32% year on year and a container traffic volume of 5.043 million TEUs, an increase of 13.06% year on year.
