Successful Test Flight of Huaguo Mountain Airport

On September 9, with the strong support of the military airlines, the East China Administration of Civil Aviation organized and coordinated all relevant units to successfully implement the flight test of Huaguo Mountain Airport construction project.

It is known that the test flight lasted more than 2 hours, verified the flight procedures and minimum operation standards of Huaguo Mountain Airport and checked the operation of airport communication and navigation, visual navigation aids and other equipment and facilities, the drawing and setting of flight area pavement, signs and signboards, taxi routes, parking stands and airport clearance. The expected goal of actually testing the airport operation support capability has been achieved.

In order to complete the important task of flight test, Lianyungang Airport planned in advance, studied and formulated a detailed flight test plan with the guidance and help of the military aviation administration, the Civil Aviation Administration and the air traffic control unit. All relevant units cooperated closely and completed all flight test subjects efficiently, laying a solid foundation for subsequent industry acceptance and transfer operation.

With the successful completion of the flight test mission, Huaguo Mountain Airport will actively prepare for industry acceptance and other work. Comprehensive drills and simulation operations are also in full swing. While ensuring the safe operation of Huaguo Mountain Airport, Lianyungang Civil Aviation will move steadily and orderly into a new stage of high-quality development.

Located in Xiaoyi Town of Guanyun County, 21.5 kilometers away from the urban area, Huaguo Mountain Airport is a regional hub airport supporting the "one belt and one road" service, which serves two-way opening up to the East and the West. The design of passenger traffic volume is 2 million 500 thousand passengers and the throughput of cargo is 24 thousand tons. After completion, a new strong point of “one belt, one road” and a new East-West pattern will be built for our city, and a major international transport hub for Asia and Europe will be built to provide strong aviation support.
