Grain transit transportation on the new Eurasian Land Bridge is becoming increasingly smooth

A few days ago, at the site of the special grain changing warehouse in the Sino-Kazakhstan logistics base, customs staff were unpacking and quarantine the shipping containers containing Thai rice. Since the first transit of Thai rice from Lianyungang port to Central Asia in March this year, the East-West two-way convection business of wheat and Thai rice in Kazakhstan has realized normal operation. The author learned from a press conference held by Lianyungang customs house yesterday that the logistics circulation of the new Eurasian Land Bridge Grain transit transport security channel is becoming increasingly mature. Relying on the business supervision system, the customs house accomplishes the early declaration, full tracking and traceability management of transit grain, and the inspection time is shortened by nearly 12 hours. Up to now, 50 trains of 55200 tons of wheat have been guaranteed to transit through Kazakhstan.

In February 2017, the first batch of Kazakhstan wheat transited from Lianyungang to the Vietnamese market, successfully opening the Sino-Kazakhstan grain transit security corridor. By using this channel, the transportation time of Kazakhstan wheat in transit has been greatly reduced and the response in Southeast Asian market is better, which further promotes the normal operation mode of Lianyungang. In the process of supervision, Lianyungang customs house took the initiative to guide the construction of the site, actively cracked the technical bottleneck, vigorously improved the level of multimodal transport supervision, and adopted the measures of "special field, special warehouse and special design" to ensure that the transit wheat "no losing, no spreading and no leaking", realizing the organic combination of strict supervision, effective epidemic prevention, convenient customs clearance and efficient transportation. Experience has been accumulated to ensure the smooth passage of grain transit transportation safety of the new Eurasian Land Bridge.
