2026 Conference of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) Held

The 2026 Conference of the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) was held in our city on the 9th. State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong attended and addressed the conference.
Wang Xiaohong noted that since the 2025 Conference, China has emphasized pragmatism and efficiency, mutual trust and cooperation, and a mechanism-driven approach. It has fully implemented the “Five Actions”, actively shared achievements and experience in public security governance, promoted the establishment and improvement of bilateral and multilateral mechanisms and platforms, and achieved a series of fruitful results. These efforts have contributed wisdom and strength to enhancing global public security governance and have won wide acclaim from the international community.
Wang Xiaohong stated that global public security governance cannot be achieved without sincere communication and pragmatic actions from all parties. China is willing to actively implement the four major global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping with all parties, deepen forum construction, build consensus for stability, adhere to multilateralism, gather stable forces, improve governance capabilities, consolidate the foundation of stability, strengthen docking cooperation, ensure stable development, jointly cope with security risks and challenges, work together to strengthen global public security governance, and enhance the well-being of people of all countries with tangible results.
The annual theme of this conference is “Uniting to Advance Public Security Governance and Inject a Stabilizing Force into a Turbulent World”. Philippe, President of INTERPOL, and Jean-Pierre Lacroix, UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations, delivered remarks, and guests from some countries and international organizations attending the conference also spoke.
On the same day, Wang Xiaohong met with Le Luong Trach, member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Minister of Public Security of Vietnam, who came to China to attend the 2026 Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) Conference; Nway Win Htwe, Minister of Home Affairs of Myanmar; Pondaari, Minister of Police of Papua New Guinea; and Jean-Pierre Lacroix, UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations.
