Recently, with the strong support of Lanzhou Railway Bureau, Su-Long (Gansu) Logistics Supply Chain Co., Ltd. successfully launched the "Jiuquan—Lianyungang—Port Klang" agricultural product cold chain rail-sea intermodal train. This is a microcosm of our city's active promotion of the development of port logistics industry. Yesterday, the author learned from the "Belt and Road" section of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission that in the first three quarters of this year, Lianyungang continuously improved the operational efficiency of the "two bases and one railway express" to support the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative.
The service level of the Sino-Kazakhstan (Lianyungang) Logistics Cooperation Base has been upgraded. Since the beginning of this year, our city has actively promoted the development of the Sino-Kazakhstan Logistics Cooperation Base. Currently, the Aktau Port container hub project has officially entered the implementation stage, and the broad-gauge railway at the Khorgos East Gate dry port in Kazakhstan is about to enter a critical juncture for track laying. Data shows that from January to September, the Sino-Kazakhstan Logistics Cooperation Base handled 202,000 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units) of inbound and outbound containers, a year-on-year increase of 10.4%. The Khorgos East Gate dry port in Kazakhstan completed a transshipment volume of 247,000 TEU, a year-on-year increase of 5.8%.
The construction of the SCO (Lianyungang) International Logistics Park is being accelerated. Currently, our city is speeding up the construction of the SCO Logistics Park. At present, the main structures of the warehouse and office building for the second phase of the overseas warehouse in Almaty, Kazakhstan, have been completed; the railway station for the second phase of the overseas warehouse in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, has been built, and the Angren overseas warehouse has been listed; the warehouse and office building for the second phase of the overseas warehouse in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, are expected to be completed by the end of the year. Data shows that from January to September, the SCO Logistics Park handled 54.6825 million tons of logistics, a year-on-year increase of 6.86%, and achieved main business revenue of 3.576 billion yuan from logistics, a year-on-year increase of 7.41%.
The effect of the China-Europe Train services continues to expand. This year, our city has intensified innovative explorations related to the China-Europe Train. Lianyungang Port and Xuzhou Land Port jointly completed the exploration of the property rights attribute of the first full-process single document, marking a solid step forward in the innovative cooperation on the "one-document" system for bills of lading with property rights. Lianyungang's Relying on the Multimodal Transport Information Platform to Innovatively Promote the One-Document Service Model was successfully selected for inclusion in the Ministry of Transport's Compilation of Typical Cases for the Pilot Program of the "One-Ticket, One-Document and One-Container" System in Integrated Transport Services for Building a Strong Transportation Nation". From January to September of this year, a total of 706 China-Europe (Asia) Train services were completed, representing a year-on-year increase of 15.3%, with the number of trains ranking first in the province.
While actively promoting the development of the logistics industry, our city is accelerating the pace of industrial integration into the "Belt and Road" initiative. This year, our city has intensified efforts for the manufacturing industry to deeply explore markets along the "Belt and Road". In Arab countries, Lianyungang’s textiles have become important suppliers of local high-end blankets; in Central Asian countries, Lianyungang's traditional Chinese medicine products are already on the shelves of pharmacies, serving countries and regions along the Caspian Sea; in Astana, e-commerce training instructors from Lianyungang are sharing e-commerce live streaming technologies. These products and technologies are continuously increasing the volume of local goods from Lianyungang along the "Belt and Road".
The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission stated that in the future, our city will continuously enhance the capacity of the New Eurasian Land-Sea Transport Corridor, accelerate the promotion of unmanned transfer at the China-Kazakhstan logistics terminal and the construction of the Aktau Port container hub project, and strive to obtain approval as one of the national second batch of China-Europe (Asia) Train consolidation centers. We will deepen exchanges with cities in countries along the "Belt and Road", further develop cooperation in supply chains, logistics terminals, overseas warehouses, and other aspects. Additionally, our city will encourage more local enterprises to deeply engage in countries and regions along the "Belt and Road", continuously increasing the volume of local goods from Lianyungang transported through the corridor.
