Recently, the 330 meters long "COSGOLD LAKE" tanker successfully berthed at Shenghong Refining and Chemical Terminal. This is the largest tanker in the 300000 ton deep-water channel of Xuwei Port since it was officially opened in September. It is also the first time that a 300000 ton VLCC tanker successfully berthed in Jiangsu, marking that the raw material import channel of Shenghong Refining and Chemical Integration Project has been fully connected. With the increasing concentration of projects and the increasing number of enterprises put into production, Xuwei New Area is accelerating the construction of ports matching the world-class petrochemical industry base, striving to achieve major breakthroughs in green, intelligent and safe development in three years. The specialization and scale of serving the port industry are at the national leading level.

Starting from a salt marsh, Xuwei New Area, taking the port as a medium, continues to attract high-quality enterprises, and the total investment of enterprises settled in port industry exceeds 300 billion yuan. Our city is one of the first group of coastal open cities in China and also a typical port city. Port and industry are the basic elements. To promote economic development, we are essentially focusing on both. In recent years, Xuwei New Area is far from the only one with a strong development momentum. With the "wild geese flying together" of the integrated port with two wings, the 300000 ton deep-water channel has been put into operation. The pilot free trade zone of Lianyungang Area, Lianyun Area, Ganyu Area, Guanyun County and etc. have become an important growth pole for the economic development of our city.

The sun shines into the harbor, and the freighter coming back from a long voyage berths on the sea. Overlooking from a high place, containers at Lianyungang Port dock are arranged in order, and large gantry cranes are rising from the ground, so busy scenes can be seen everywhere. Starting from Lianyungang Port, the sea routes reach the world, and the China-Europe Railway Express has achieved full coverage of major stations in Central Asia. Relying on the main port area and land bridge of Lianyungang, including the port block of Lianyungang Area in the Pilot Free Trade Zone and guided by the needs of enterprises, we will focus on the cultivation of leading industries such as new medicine, new materials, high-end equipment manufacturing and promote the development of industrial clusters. The industrial formats in the area are constantly enriched. At present, the number of enterprises in the area has exceeded 15000.

The same busy scene also appeared at Ganyu Port Area. Domestic and foreign trade ships shuttled in and out of the port area in turn. The loading and unloading scene on the berth was very spectacular. In recent years, Ganyu Port Area has adhered to the strategic idea of in-depth integration of port and industry development, vigorously developed the "2+1" industry of petrochemical new materials, high-end equipment manufacturing and modern service industry. An innovation highland is rising rapidly along the coast. According to the statistics of the Municipal Transportation Department, the local supply of goods at Ganyu Port Area accounts for more than 60%, and the coordination and agglomeration effect of port and industry is constantly enhanced.
