Lianyungang Airport Makes Full Preparations for Transfer

According to the notice of the Civil Aviation Administration, Huaguo Mountain Airport will be officially opened on December 2nd, and Baitabu Airport will be deactivated simultaneously. In order to create a more comfortable travel environment for the vast number of passengers, Lianyungang Airport Company has intensively carried out flying tests, simulation exercises and other work in recent days, taking transition preparation as the carrier for deepening the study and education of party history, the main battlefield for practicing the new achievements of "two in two" and the key measure for building strong organizations and tempering party members, and taking multiple measures to promote "doing practical things for the masses" in real earnest to ensure the smooth operation of Huaguo Mountain Airport as scheduled.

At 14:00 on November 14th, the airport company, together with the airport public security branch, AVIC oil supply station, Haitong bus and other airport-stationed units, carried out the second comprehensive drill of Huaguo Mountain Airport transfer operation. The drill simulated 8 inbound and outbound flights, 400 passengers, 160 inbound and outbound luggage and 500 kg cargo. The drill is divided into four modules: flight area, terminal area, freight area and public area, with a total of 79 drill subjects such as manual check-in, passenger arrival guidance and aircraft special vehicle support.

"By organizing a comprehensive exercise of full simulation, full elements and full process, we have focused on solving the problems existing in the preliminary transfer preparations." The relevant person in charge of Lianyungang Airport Company introduced that the exercise verified the coherence and effectiveness of the overall operation of the airport, promoted the close cooperation of various collaborative businesses and the smooth use of system equipment, accelerated the operation preparations and urge all departments to enter the normal operation state.

At noon on the same day, the calibration plane landed safely at Baitabu Airport, announcing that the navigation equipment of Huaguo Mountain Airport had passed the last flight calibration before the airport was opened. The calibration flight took 6 days. Compared with the past, this calibration flight not only increased the number of equipment, but also remotely debugged in the monitoring room. During the flying test, the staff went to Huaguo Mountain Airport to participate in the flying test in addition to ensuring the operation of the old airport. After the calibration flight, the monitors of all equipment shall be calibrated, and the outfield signal test shall be conducted to check the equipment.

It is reported that since July, Lianyungang Airport has carried out 47 transfer trainings on the use of new equipment, flight support process and service facility distribution, and carried out 24 emergency drills such as terminal operation, bad weather support and fire rescue. After completion and operation, Huaguo Mountain Airport will form a comprehensive support capacity with an annual passenger throughput of 2.5 million passengers and a freight throughput of 24000 tons, which will contribute to building a new pattern of "one belt and one road", a new two-way transportation system for East and West, and a strong international aviation hub for Asia and Europe to provide strong aviation support and promote economic development in the surrounding areas. It will also contribute to the construction of civil aviation of New Jiangsu.
