One More Village in Our City Listed as a Beautiful Leisure Village

Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued the Notice on Further Promoting the Recommendation of Beautiful Leisure Villages. Hanli Village, located in Chaoyang Subdistrict, Economic and Technological Development Zone of our city, was successfully included in the 2024 list of recommended Beautiful Leisure Villages due to its outstanding achievements in ecological livability, industrial prosperity, and rural cultural development. This provides valuable practical experience for the city’s efforts to advance the construction of beautiful leisure villages.

The Ministry’s initiative to promote Beautiful Leisure Villages aims to foster new industries and business models in rural areas, leveraging their role in expanding agricultural functions and unlocking rural multifaceted value. To date, five villages in our city have been listed: Xiehu Village in Ganyu District, Yilu Village in Guanyun County, Liuyunling Village and Huangwo Village in Lianyun District, and Hanli Village in the Economic and Technological Development Zone.

Situated at the southernmost tip of Chaoyang Subdistrict, Hanli Village is adjacent to the birthplace of the national intangible cultural heritage site “The Legend of the Filial Daughter of Eastern Sea” and backed by the 5A-level Huaguo Mountain Scenic Area. Rich in cultural history and ecological tourism resources, the village has leveraged rural tourism development over the past few years to advance the construction of a beautiful leisure destination. With investments exceeding 30 million yuan, it has overhauled the village environment, upgraded facilities, and gradually pioneered a distinctive rural development path that “revives rural poetic charm and invites visitors to savor idyllic life”.
