On the evening of April 13th, the author learned at the launch ceremony of the 2025 Lianyungang commerce-tourism-agriculture integration consumption promotion and spring-summer cultural tourism consumption event, themed “Journey through Mountains and Seas, Blossoms along the Way”, that our city has unveiled three spring-summer self-drive tourism routes, designated eight municipal-level nighttime cultural and tourism consumption clusters, announced the “2025 Lianyungang Must-Try Food List”, and launched new spring-summer products of “2025 Lianyungang Cultural Tourism Consumption”. These multifaceted measures aim to stimulate cultural and tourism vitality during the spring and summer seasons.

According to reports, the Provincial Self-Drive Travel Association and the Municipal Culture, Tourism, and Broadcasting Bureau recently signed the Framework Cooperation Agreement to Support High-Quality Development of Self-Drive Tourism in Lianyungang. “Self-drive travel has become one of the mainstream ways for out-of-town tourists to visit Lianyungang. We plan to deepen cooperation with the Provincial Self-Drive Travel Association to create a matrix of themed self-drive products, build a precision tourism attraction system, and promote citywide brand communication, focusing on product promotion, inbound tourism, and city image marketing. This will drive the high-quality development of self-drive tourism in our city,” said a relevant official from the Municipal Culture, Tourism, and Broadcasting Bureau.

Tuniu, an online travel agency, released Lianyungang cultural tourism consumption subsidy products, and the spring-summer “2025 Lianyungang Cultural Tourism Consumption” products went on sale. A live-streaming campaign was also launched in the event. Netizens could claim cultural tourism consumption vouchers in the “Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai Getaway” and “Lianyungang Cultural Tourism Main Portal” live-streaming studios. The subsidies cover scenic spot tickets, hotel accommodations, specialty dining, and cultural creative products, with maximum discounts up to 600 yuan. “Through Tuniu’s big data platform analysis, we found that Lianyungang’s tourist sources are widespread, mainly from eastern China and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The tourism market shows balanced preferences in travel styles, with family tourists and senior visitors as the primary groups. We have also opened a ‘Spring Outing in Lianyungang’ cultural tourism consumption subsidy zone, featuring themed products such as family, coastal, and cultural tours. These preferential subsidies aim to attract tourists from all over to visit and enjoy Lianyungang’s mountains and seas,” said Lu (surname), General Manager of Tuniu’s Domestic Destination Cooperation Department.

During this event, the city also announced eight municipal-level nighttime cultural and tourism consumption clusters and 30 restaurants listed on the “2025 Lianyungang Must-Try Food List” to stimulate consumption through night markets and culinary delights. “We are honored to be included in the ‘2025 Lianyungang Must-Try Food List’. We have collaborated with travel agencies to incorporate Lianyungang’s specialty dishes into group meal menus. We have reduced prices for signature dishes like Dou Dan (bean caterpillar), Huaihai pork, and Sha Guang fish, and launched promotions such as complimentary side dishes like bean jelly and caviar with minimum spending.
