City's first electric container truck switching station went into service

Recently, Miaoling Switching Station of Lianyungang Port and the opening ceremony of electric container trucks were successfully held, marking the official opening of the city's first electric container truck switching station.

In order to actively respond to the national sustainable development strategy, Lianyungang New Oriental International Container Terminal Co., Ltd. has continuously increased its investment in recent years, and it has successively realized the mode of replacing oil with electric drive by RTG field bridge, stacker and forklift. This time, the company successfully converted 35 container trucks into electric power supply. The supporting Miaoling Switching Station adopts the industry's leading automatic power exchange mode to replace the battery, ensuring that the entire replacement process is completed in about 5 minutes, which is 20 times more efficient than the charging mode.

The project of replacing oil with electricity is of great importance to the construction of resource-saving and environment-friendly port. The launch of the Miaoling Switching Station of Lianyungang Port and electric container trucks will further promote the construction of green and low-carbon port, realize the sustainable development of Lianyungang Port and help the port to achieve the "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals" as soon as possible.
