The Old Street of Minzhu Road is located in the downtown area of Lianyungang, formerly known as Zhongshan Road. Originally built in the late Qing Dynasty and early period of the Republic of China (1912-1949), it is the birthplace for modem commerce in the city. Gaining the title of state AAA-level scenic spot, the street is 650 meters long and is divided into three sections: east, middle and west. The architectural style is positioned as a cultural and tourism block with cultural characteristics of the Republic of China. There are 18 municipal-level cultural relics protection units such as Dahua Department Store and Gongda Commercial Bank. In the public open block, there are exhibition halls such as Bell Tower History Museum, Haizhou Good People Museum, Folklore Museum, Dahua Cultural Exchange Center, Master Zhou Cunyu Art Museum, and Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritages Museum.
