Huaguo Mountain Scenic Area is the core area of the state-level Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area, the national AAAAA-level tourist attraction, a state-level geological park, and one of the China Top Ten Ecological Civilization Scenic Spots. Covering an planed area of 75.39 square kilometers, the scenic area is composed of 136 mountains, of which Yunv Peak is the highest peak in Jiangsu province, with an altitude of 624.4 meters. The main scenic spots include the Water Curtain Cave, Sanyun Temple, Yunv Peak, Asoka Pagoda, Nine Dragon Bridge, Shibapan, Zhaohai Pavilion, Yuhuang Pavilion, etc. Huaguo Mountain is known as the hometown of the Monkey King described in Journey to the West,　a classic Chinese novel, and the legends of the Monkey King has enhanced its reputation. Being the highest peak and birthplace of Journey to the West,　it combines the story of Journey to the West,　the Buddhism and Taoism cultures, and ecological environment.
