Huaguo Mountain Cableway Officially Kicks Off Trial Operation

The aerial cableway soars across the immortal mountain, carrying visitors to a breathtaking elevated scenic realm. On August 8, the Huaguo Mountain Cableway was officially put into trial operation. This 1,240-meter “silver long dragon” spans high above the ground, weaving through the lush green sea of forests and drawing an elegant smooth arc between the rolling peaks.

The cableway adopts an imported single-line circulating detachable grip system. Its 54 eight-seat cabins glide steadily over the valleys, with a one-way hourly transport capacity of 2,500 passengers. As the cabins rise slowly, visitors can feel the fresh breeze brushing past the treetops under their feet, overlook the layered stretches of greenery in the distance, and admire the dark-hued peaks emerging amid surging sea of clouds. The perfect integration of modern technology and natural mountain scenery turns the experience of “ever-changing views at every turn in the air” into a tangible, immersive reality.

The renovation of the cableway station building, upgrade of the operation route, and landscape optimization of over ten thousand mu of vegetation were all completed simultaneously. From now on, Huaguo Mountain boasts three unique sightseeing routes with distinct charms: climbing the stone steps on foot lets visitors savor the secluded tranquility of forests and springs, riding the scenic shuttle bus allows them to fully enjoy the views along the route, and taking the aerial cableway offers a panoramic overlook of the entire immortal mountain. With three different paces and three distinct artistic conceptions, every visitor can find their own ideal way to connect with this famous Journey to the West themed mountain.
