Yesterday, the Third Affiliated Primary School of Lianyungang Normal College and its Lingzhou Road campus held an enrollment ceremony themed “Children’s Hearts toward the Nation, Joyfully Embarking on a New Journey” for their first-grade newcomers. Guided by their teachers, the children walked expectantly through the “Gate of Enlightenment”, symbolizing a new beginning, received the “Zhu Sha Qi Zhi” (Red Cinnabar Dotting for Wisdom) ritual meant to impart wisdom, and loudly declared the start of their primary school journey with the vigorous “Ji Gu Ming Zhi” (Drum-Beating to Express Ambitions) ceremony.
