Lianyungang, surrounded by mountains and sea, boasts unique advantages in ecological resources. Inside it is a complete range of plains, sea, mountains, rivers and lakes, hills, beaches, wetlands and islands. It also has a 211.59-kilometer-long coastline, four wetland parks above the provincial-level and five forest natural parks above the provincial-level. What's more, the land under the list of ecological conservation area covers a total area of 1728.18 square kilometers. Lianyungang has won honorary titles of National Civilized City, National Hygienic City, National Garden City, and National Afforestation Model City.
