Near Port Industry Sub-Zone

    Near Port Industry Sub-zone is located at the northern part of Lianyungang Economic and Technological Development Zone. Its planning area starts from Pingshan road of the east and ends at Xinggang road of the west. To the north, it reaches North Direction Canal and to the south, it reaches the salt transportation river. Its total acreage is 12.1 square kilometers. According to Lianyungang City's general planning and the requirement to develop near sea industry, three functional districts are set up here, the financial commercial living district, the storage material circulation district and the near port industry district. The investment for the first stage project is 250 million Yuan, which is for municipal facilities like the constructions of road, power supply, water supply, steam supply, drainage, etc. And it should meet the demands for enterprises to settle down by the end of 2003. The orientation of the industry is, by relying on both the traffic advantages of being near with the port, the highway and the railway and the current industrial advantages, to attract large transportation volume, large throughput capacity and high power consuming industrial projects to enter the zone. And projects that enter the zone can enjoy all the preferential policies of the national level development zone.
